UROY

Thanks all for the words of congratulations. It feels good to be "officially" recognized for my performances this year. Although it also feels a little unfair. It felt like I had too much fun running this year to have been capable of having (at least by one publication's standard) the best year of any male ultra runner in North America. I guess therein lies the key to my success.

For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about check out this link.

  3. You would take "Speedgoat of the Year" too, but we don't have a trophy for that yet. When I get up on the ridge and find a skull, I'm sending it to Alaska! Or maybe you'll get it at the Speedgoat 50k, that would be fitting. We'll make you carry the skull the whole race! Baahhh!

  9. Congrats Geoff!! You desreved this, tha's for sure. I guess AJW's discussion around DNF's were meaningless afterall. I personally don't think that men that hyphenate their last names should qualify either!

  13. Congratulations, I feel privileged to have competed in the same race as you, even if I did finish 4 hours behind you... hopefully not such a big gap next year.

  23. Goeff,
congrats on UROY! Definitely well deserved.
This year the men's side was really strong, and Karl probably would have won it in most years with his 5 100m wins.
But you beat him in head to head competition and broke some pretty damn fast CRs in the process.

Looking forward to some more hard races with you in the next few years. Not sure yet what I'll run this year, except the NF 50 in December.
